Terms of use
Simple terms for a simple tool.

What this tool is
Tile Calculator is a free, browser-based estimator that helps you work out roughly how many tiles, and how much grout and adhesive, to buy for a room. You may use it for personal or commercial projects, as long as your use is lawful.
Estimates, not guarantees
The figures are a planning guide. Real quantities depend on your room's squareness, the tile, the layout, breakages and how the tiles are cut. The full and cut counts are computed from the geometry of an ideal rectangular room; a real installation will vary. Always read the coverage on the tile's box, and when in doubt buy the extra box rather than run short mid-floor. Tile Calculator is not responsible for tiles bought, unused, or run short based on an estimate.
Your data
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The only thing it stores is your most recent layout, saved in your browser's local storage so the form is ready next time — never sent to us or anyone else. A shareable link keeps your inputs in the URL you copy, not on any server. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
Availability and warranty
The service is provided as available, without warranties of accuracy, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Tile Calculator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the tool.
Changes
The tool and these terms may change as it improves. The effective date above identifies the current version; continuing to use the tool after an update means you accept the revised terms.
